OUR TECHNOLOGY
Dr. Lassiter has incorporated some of the latest digital technology into our Jay dentist office in an effort to improve your experience and results. From the moment you enter our office to your time with our dental care team, we aim to make your visit as efficient, effective and pleasant as possible.
Digital X-Rays: Using modern digital x-rays our dentists can view structures that are not viewable to the naked eye. The images on the x-rays can be magnified, color-coded and digitally transferred for convenience.
Intraoral Cameras: Intraoral cameras are used to take small x-rays of a gum or tooth. Images can be taken from a variety of different angles using these cameras. Dr. Lassiter can get a better idea of the dental problem that a patient may have with a certain tooth or area of the gums with intraoral cameras.
Digital Impressions: Digital dental impressions are less messy than traditional dental molds. as well as easier and more comfortable. Using this technology, we are able to capture detailed data about your smile. This information transfers instantly to our computer so that we can then fabricate a dental restoration.
Paperless Charting: A more efficient and accurate way of charting patients’ dental records is electronically. Additionally, it cuts back on paper use. The computer standardizes charting methods so it is easy to understand dental charts. Our dentists are then able to view up-to-date information and easily share information with other healthcare providers.
Same-Day Crown Technology: Using CAD/CAM, or computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing, our dentists can take a digital scan of a tooth that has been prepared to receive a dental crown. The scan generates a custom blueprint as a guideline to manufacture the new crown.
